Copies of Rev. Kortering's recent book, "Evangelism in the Established Church" are available for purchase from the Reformed Book Outlet. These books, published by First PRC, GR, are a compilation of a series of Standard Bearer Articles on the topic of evangelism. The cost is $5.50 per book. The Domestic Mission Committee sponsored Missions Conference will take place the evenings of Monday September 8 and Tuesday September 9. The meetings will be held at Southwest PRC with each beginning at 7:30 PM. On Monday evening, Pastor Arie den Hartog will bring an inspirational message to encourage us in our interest and zeal for the work of missions. Prof. Gritters will follow with a “Critique and Evaluation of the History of PRC Mission work”. On Tuesday evening, Rev. Bruinsma will present “What we can learn from the History of Reformed Missions”. He will be followed by Rev. Kortering who will speak on “The need for Special Training for the work of Missions”. The whole conference will focus on the work of our own denomination and will direct its attention to critiquing, evaluating and encouraging us in the work of missions. A special effort to attend should be made by those who are directly involved in the work of missions in our denomination either domestic or foreign. Anyone else who may be interested in hearing these informative speeches is also invited to attend.
